Experience Shapes Us – Written Tuesday 21st July 2020 (Aged 45)

Experience Shapes Us

our experience shapes us
but what sort of shape is it
rough or smooth
sharp edges,
or indented grooves?
what twist and turns
are formed from what i have learned
is the shape pretty to behold
or is it awkward,
with some ungainly folds?
if experience shapes us
how do we become the mould?
and what shape am i,
are the rough edges
plainly not so easy on other people’s eyes
and did some appealing lines
just get left behind
does the experience that shapes us
leave funny and illogical shapes
do they cause people to avert their gaze
or cause their pupils to dilate
our experience shapes us
but what sort of shape is it
and do any of the shapes we become –
ever truly fit?

  1. First off I would like to say terrific blog! I had
a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing.
I’ve had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally
lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any
recommendations or hints? Thank you! https://www.flagsonastick.com/4th-of-july-house-flags/
