Fighting Dragons in a Shirt and Tie
blinded by pain
by anger
by the fact, once again, i feel the rain
no umbrella
no raincoat
just me and cinderella
lost like a little boy
in a sea of meaningless hands
finding many but not the one
for me, it is you
for the child, it is mum
blinded by disgust
from a desire to quench a fire
that bizarrely, like iron, has started to rust
fighting dragons
in a shirt and tie
but i am no george
this dragon will not die
trying to disguise myself
as a, ‘i really could not care’
when in reality, deep concern
is the only thing i wear
