Isn’t That Wonderful
the failure of capitalism
is absolute
and painfully clear
the evidence is overwhelming
and inequality all too near
yet,
ultimate consumers have become,
‘influencers’
never missing the soul they clearly sold –
for minimal change
we are consumers –
and we are all for sale
in these times –
capitalism really blows a devastating gale
yet,
economic inequality
never strikes us with its currency of painful truth
black, brown, religion, gender –
sexuality… the list goes on
we blames others
and never figure that it is wrong
it is the government, the banks
big institutions, the powerful
that is what profits from capitalism
and… isn’t that wonderful…
