Trouble

There is always
trouble—
but I have got you
in mind,
so happiness
is not difficult
to find.

There is always
going to be
trouble ahead,
whether we are
alive
or whether
they are dead.

Keep on
working,
believing
to the end—
where they make
statues
of all the people
who meant
something.

But there isn’t
anything,
because they
know us,
and they know
there will always
be trouble.
