This Boy Might Need You
this boy might need you
so sit on a wall
and tell this boy a story
that does not sound too tall
this little boy needs a balloon
the kind you put air into
so sit on this sofa i bought
and never go
this boy needs you to hold him
and we all need care
because in my sleep,
it has dragged me down
and at night i get so scared
so i do need dreams
and not more nightmares
this boy might need you
so take me as the gin
and just be the tonic
that way we can begin
this boy needs an arm around his waist
and a hand in his
i wonder if it is you
with all these wonderful gifts
