Close My Eyes
if i close my eyes
for just too long
i’m scared i might lose touch
got a heart
got myself a feeling
some will tear this world apart
just to find its meaning
if i hang onto the gate
cross the muddy field
who will wait?
got an opponent
standing in the way
wish things could be different
but ignorance always has a say
if i close my eyes
for just too long
i am scared i might lose touch
feel the world and all that is strange
from the hapless lunatic
to the comic sane
if only we could all use it
