Insecurity Bites
is it selfish –
to feel undervalued?
is it human –
to feel underrated?
is it insecurity…
is it ego…
is it time for all this to go
am i –
locked into an impossible battle
in which winning –
means i prove a pointless point
but sometimes –
a feeling can make itself known
and i do wonder where i am
despite all my growing
insecurity always bites my hand
