Combination of a Safe
i wanted us to feel safe
not be looking –
for the combination of a safe
i need to open –
all those things i wanted
in life –
i want to feel a little less insecure
and not to pine –
for a non existent cure
sex, narcotic, alcohol
i know all those can be made pure
when you feel lost
all come –
with a special wind or frost
all i know –
was that i did not belong
i watched them sing it together
but i did not know the song
and therefore in stormy weather
i had no way of singing along
