I Cannot Stop Loving You

i cannot stop loving you
no matter what i do
i cannot let go
i know you are not everything
but you are a special something

i cannot stop loving you
it would be easier if i could
i want to
because it is a self destructive feeling
and it is like an ugly never healing rip
one that stretches right across my mind

i cannot stop loving you
every part, every place
the conversation and the face
i know some days are fresh
some are so fast
some leave me sad
they are a cruel reflection of the past

i cannot stop loving you
maybe all of it is not actually real
i know i need to move on
but when it comes to loving you
part of me always will
i will always love you
that is just how i feel
