One Day at a Time

take a deep breath
because you know now,
it is one day at a time
just one day for each step
and maybe it is my mind
but nightmares are just visions
so, it is one day at a time
of course, it hurts
and of course,
the anger continues to rise
but the why,
why did happen
will never be achieved
take a deep breath
because you know now,
it is one day at a time
and some of those days are good
and some come for free
it’s just they all come with pain
a kind of pain and betrayal
burned into my mind
