Circle Of Ruin
friends have saved me –
from a circle of ruin
from the bullshit –
that could easily consume me
together,
we have built a craft
and it has set me free
even though i know my past
friends have saved me –
from a circle of ruin
from the seaside that i love
yet haunts me,
from the others,
that just never let it be
from the imposters
who never wanted to swing on my tree
friends have saved me –
from a circle of ruin
and they have taught me
the value of what is all around
and the value,
of what sits inside
friends have shown me
that even when i have tried
all i have to do,
is value those things deep inside
