Out Tonight – Written Sunday 27th December 2009 (Aged 34)

Out Tonight

you could go out tonight
and paint the town –
with your infectious smile
you could look for love
with a man who has an inner child
you could go out tonight
and try to remember –
how beautiful you are
you could catch a gig
maybe find a band
one who plays away the night
and sings as if they truly understand
you could stand out in crowds
in fact, as you always do
you could paint a picture
with that smile, well you always do
and when i catch your look
i know that everything is true
you could go out tonight
and show this town –
how to do it right
put up all your illuminations
the ones that shine so bright
