The Pram
they have been pushing –
the pram of madness up and down
and,
all around this town
they have cradled insanity
like selfishness loves to embrace fools
they have been pushing –
the pram of madness up and down
you can hear the chimes of the mobile
it reflects,
as asylum,
with freshly painted walls
they have been pushing –
the pram of madness up and down
and over hills
in and around buildings of the past
the thrills of sanity,
sadly did not last
and when sorry knocks upon the door
it is like,
it is begging to be let in
and i know when i see them
i will be placing something in their tin
