Another Playtime – Written Saturday 19th August 2023 (Aged 48)

Another Playtime

my shyness –
it has had to shy away
it’s for another playtime
another rainy day
anyway,
shyness never had much to say
and society –
would like it to be that way
confidence,
that has to be made from soft clay
anyway,
society wants it to be that way
but for now,
maybe just for today,
i have folded up my shyness
and put it away
but it is there,
ready to appear at any moment
but at this time
it has had to be put away
ready for another playtime
ready for that inevitable rainy day
