Mainstream – Written Tuesday 30th January 2024 (Aged 48)

Mainstream

it feels like –
no one wants to be, ‘mainstream’,
they all want to be,
the, ‘alternate take’,
or maybe the, ‘directors cut’,
even when it seems scripted and fake
it feels like –
perceived, ‘ordinariness’,
is just not can never be enough
there has to be a reason,
why they fly above the rest
so that can circle so called norms
it feels like –
mainstream is just too well worn
but mainstream is actually fine
there is nothing to stop any of us
being the killer line
