you walked along the seawall
balancing like a bird
you gate crashed –
the banks of my museum

in another dream
i was suddenly so small
with power station parents
holding a childlike ball

seek it well,
that hidden treasure
recline,
at my personal leisure

i spent my time looking at stars
no one can read the words
so instead,
time is spent building cars

there is a woman,
and i crave her touch
after all,
she has shown me –
how to flip over my bad luck

and then before –
the drink makes us feel less able
and turn our collective pain
into some kind of fable

i have shed all my tears
and screwed up my clouds
i have romanced my fears
and screamed it out loud

or moments –
that may just pass
string the moments together
and they move so fast
