Playground Antics

the slide, that is not for you
nor is the climbing frame
and neither are the swings
smile for me,
just me,
and see what the future brings
i would like for you –
to reach the top of the mountain
i would like to see you smile
i would like you to conquer your pain
that is why,
the slide, that is not for you
and forget about those swings
you are beautiful,
let’s see what the future brings
smile for me,
just me,
i want you to light up the night
i want you to reach for the stars
and turn your screams into something bright
