points in our lives
when the harsh encounters of life
had not yet sat us down and told us the truth

for the felon,
who left my fragility and stability
happily wed

youth told us only two stories,
we were either worthless,
or genius in expert disguise
and that all those creative talents would come alive

society, this society,
it surely finds itself at a crossroads
where modernity is all about the self
