Doorstep – Written Friday 24th September 2010 (Aged 35)

you gift wrapped anger –
and left it on my doorstep
you took tides of abuse
and crashed them –
against my shore
you took lofty heights
and then you unfurled your claw
your intellect –
is minus your fingers
and even its toes
its count barely reaches –
the heights you do not know
all that abuse
heaped upon you
your brain undone
by the nature of your emotional glue
