Carriers – Written Between Tuesday 15th February 1994 and November 1994 (Aged 18/19)

you could not steal my imagination
you tried, but you failed
fantasy, it remains with me
but give me some sight
and i will see
you could not make me bitter
i admit, i nearly went that way
but what is the point,
and what is there for me to say
and now, i am somewhere in-between
i am building on my land
demolishing barriers
and in life, dropping the carriers
those who carry nothing
those who take you for granted
and yet, they always expect something
