Make Up – Written September 2008 (Aged 33)

Make Up

i picked them up
i could not –
put them down
sleep really close
paint it,
then turn around
i am only me
i am only waiting
for this life
and i grab it,
in such a warm embrace
i wait for us to go out
as you put make-up on your face

James Garratt – September 2008
