Child Like – Written Saturday 10th February 2001 (Aged 26)

Child Like

i think she likes me
though, i am not so sure
she may just want friendship
because to some –
that can mean more

i think she likes me
so i sit in the chair
and i am thirteen all over again
i watch her standing there

i think she likes me
though i am not so sure
because i am a boy amongst men
i wander dizzy from the door
and it’s only quarter to ten

i think she likes me
but like a boy child i am
with my crushes and insecurities
and this ongoing search for hands
