Girl’s On The Station
the girls on the station,
on the train of final thought and exploration
i know you can work for twenty years
but you’re a child,
and it is everything you feared
the belly could grow
and the make up is smeared
the options for the future have become less clear
the girls in the high street
tops way down low,
and skirts that are no relation of their feet
you can put bread on the table
and compromise all the dreams you’ve had
as your child eats from a wooden label
the girls on the station
on the train of final thought and exploration
