Body Here, Mind Elsewhere
body lives here,
dreams over there
hands here,
hope over there
arms and legs
just limbs
an appendage is no bondage
it’s you that makes me dream
my being,
it lives here
feel almost lost
alcohol by the keg
feet found once again
there at the bottom of my legs
body lives here,
mind elsewhere
waiting for the time
when it all joins up
