I Try To Look After You – Written August 2009 (Aged 34)

I Try To Look After You

i try to look after you
i know it’s from a distance
but i am there
and i try to be your life coach
even when,
mine has turned out strange
endless drains,
and the strangest games
let’s give the marbles back
i try to look after you
i try to say,
look at the mistakes i have made
do not let them men,
who are really just boys
treat your emotions and feelings
like brand new toys
put them back in their box
with all the excitement
of christmas given socks
you deserve more contentment
i try to look after you
