i see you happiness fumble
and sometimes,
tumble down the stairs –
of your self esteem

i have offered my thoughts to you
and i have talked about the time
the train hurtled forward at full pelt

you can deconstruct society
and tell me,
it is all just a fallacy
that is truer

never really nailed down this being with others
because,
boundless love does not provide all weather cover

growing up –
covered in affection
but tied –
with a bow of misdirection

the self confidence
is too much
and then,
it is not enough
