You Are (Always)

you are always on my mind
like a planet –
orbiting the sun
like a magnet –
attracted to iron filings
you are always on my mind
playing a tune –
and sailing through the canals –
of my brain
what we have
is a work of art
but it will never be framed
i do not want it to fall apart
i know that we are inside
i know that they are insane
i know you know,
that the whole world is insane
so much insanity is actually just the norm
out of pure anarchy and chaos
order is always born
you are always on my mind
